Your monthly update from your partners at Edvisor
🇨🇴 Before we begin, our thoughts are with the communities in Colombia affected by this month’s earthquake. Many of our partners, along with their students, colleagues and families, are in the region. If your team has been affected and there is anything at all we can do to ease the load, please reach out to us. We are thinking of you. 🤍
Welcome to August! The Northern Hemisphere summer intake has hit its peak and attention is already turning to autumn starts and 2027 planning. This month we have news we've been sitting on since spring, a rebuilt school search that changes how you find programs, a warm welcome to the newest partners on the network, a look at where students were actually being quoted in July, and campus news from Malta to Sydney. Let's get into it.
We've been keeping this one quiet. The embargo has lifted, so we can finally say it out loud, and say thank you.
Shortlisted for ST Star Service Provider 2026
Edvisor has been shortlisted as a Finalist in the StudyTravel Star Awards, ST Star Service Provider category 2026. The full list of finalists is published in Volume 3 of StudyTravel Magazine.
Here's the part that matters to us: the ST Star Awards are decided by the industry itself. Nobody applies and nobody buys their way in. Agencies, schools and providers vote for the partners they rate. So this nomination isn't really ours. It belongs to every agency and every school that chose to build their business on Edvisor this year, told us when we got it wrong, and stuck with us while we fixed it. Thank you. Sincerely.
Winners are revealed on Saturday 5 September 2026 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London, during the second evening of ST Alphe UK (4–6 September). If you're going to be in London for Alphe, come and find us. Win or lose, we'd rather spend the evening with the people who put us there.
About the ST Star AwardsWith the Australian government's recent deed changes reshaping commission structures across the industry, we've been rethinking our own approach too. Not just to adapt, but to make booking insurance genuinely better for the agencies who do it every day.
What Pay Later means for you
Card payment isn't going anywhere. It stays available for agencies who prefer it, now with a small 2.5% platform fee to help offset processing costs. For anyone who'd rather avoid that entirely, Pay Later is a straightforward, fee-free alternative from day one.
Read the full announcement →A busy month of releases, and most of them land on the two things you do most: finding the right program, and getting a proposal in front of a student.
🔍 A rebuilt school search
Finding schools on Edvisor works differently now. You can search across every school on the platform, including ones you aren't connected to yet, and each result tells you upfront exactly what you're getting before you commit:
There are new filters for location, education type, profile type and connection status, and you can connect to a school straight from the search results. Can't find a school you already work with? Request it, and you'll be connected automatically once it's added.
🎨 Make every proposal yours
A new student-facing proposal layout, plus a Proposal Configuration page where you control how your proposals look: banner image, colours and fonts, all configurable per office. The proposal is your first impression, and now it looks like it came from you rather than from a tool.
⚙️ Automations that do more, and run exactly when you want
Automations now trigger from many more events across students, quotes, enrolments and sales. Better still, you control the timing: run instantly, a set period before a dated event, on the day itself, or afterwards. Think visa expiry reminders, arrival check-ins, post-departure follow-ups.
New execution logs show you when each automation ran, what triggered it, and whether every action succeeded, so you can trust it's working without checking by hand.
🎯 Search several education types at once
Search used to allow one category at a time, so a student open to both General English and Work & Study meant running two separate searches. Now the categories stack, the filters adapt to whatever combination you pick, and subject search covers every category you have selected. Nothing to switch on.
👥 Segments and auto-assignment
Set rules that segment incoming students and assign them automatically to the right person on your team, so nothing sits unclaimed while everyone assumes someone else picked it up. Build a segment from any combination of nationality, program type, office and more.
📈 School Insights: faster, and a full year of history
Every School Insights page loads noticeably quicker, and you can now report across much longer date ranges, up to a full year. That makes it far easier to compare seasons properly and spot year-over-year patterns in how agencies discover and quote your programs.
We walk through releases like these in dedicated sessions for agencies and schools. Upcoming sessions are always posted to our Community Webinars page.
What actually moved across the network in July, compared with June, plus one regulatory change worth putting in your calendar right now.
🌍 Ireland and Canada climb, the UK slips
Malta held the top spot as the network's most-quoted destination, but the order underneath it shifted. Ireland and Canada both moved up, pushing the United Kingdom down to fourth, the only destination in the top eight where quoting declined month-on-month. Australia and the United States held fifth and sixth.
The month's standout riser was the UAE, which climbed three places into the top eight. It grew the right way, too: more agencies quoting it rather than one large customer moving the number.
📚 Work & Study leads the risers
General English remains the clear leader, with Work & Study English the fastest-growing course type in the top five. Students still want study paired with the right to work. Academic English held third, and General Spanish moved into the top five, another sign demand is broadening beyond English-only pathways.
🚀 More in every proposal, and faster sales
July was a productive month across the marketplace. Proposal volume rose, agencies bundled roughly 5% more products into every proposal, and sales grew faster than proposals did, meaning agencies converted more efficiently and sold more of each student's journey through Edvisor.
One honest caveat: July is peak Northern Hemisphere summer intake, so read these as seasonal movements rather than structural trends. Junior and youth English programs, for instance, dropped sharply month-on-month. That isn't falling demand; summer junior placements are booked months ahead and were already locked in by July.
🇺🇸 The US ends Duration of Status on 15 September
If you place students in the United States, this one needs your attention. From 15 September 2026, the Department of Homeland Security replaces the long-standing Duration of Status (D/S) admission with a fixed Admit Until Date for F, J and I visa holders. Instead of being admitted for as long as they maintain status, students will be admitted until a specific date on their immigration record, and will need to file for an extension of stay to go beyond it.
Practically: students already in the US and those arriving this autumn need to know their date, and any student whose program runs longer than their admission period will need a plan well before it expires. Worth a proactive message to every US-bound student on your books this month rather than a scramble in October.

A warm welcome, and welcome back, to the partners who joined or rejoined the Edvisor network over the past month. Every new partner makes the network more useful for everyone already on it.
Two schools joined the network this month, one on each side of the Atlantic. Here is why your students will like them.

☕ Breakfast on the Gold Coast, with Link Study
On 29 July we hosted a breakfast in Gold Coast, Queensland, in partnership with Link Study, bringing together schools from across the region, both Edvisor partners and neighbours. We walked through the latest product updates: quoting, the Agent Portal, reporting, and how providers are reaching new source markets.
Thanks to Link Study for co-hosting, and to everyone who came out early. If you'd like to host something similar in your region, tell us. These are consistently the most useful conversations we have all year.
That's a wrap for August! 🌤️
More institutional updates, new programs, promotions and partnerships are already lining up for next month's edition. Have news to share? A new program, a promotion, a campus development, a partnership. We'd love to feature it. Reach out to the Edvisor team and let's tell your story.
